Toppoki Sushi
Toppoki Sushi is comprised of regular sushi that is stuffed with spicy rice cake. the ingredients of sushi consists of crab meat, carrots and zucchini. It will be replaced by spice rice cake or toppoki.
Toppoki Sushi (Spicy Rice Cake Sushi)
Ingredients:
- 1 lb Cylinder shaped rice cake
- 4 cups Water
- As needed Dried kelp
- 1/3 cup Hot pepper paste
- 1 tbsp Hot pepper flakes
- 1 tbsp Sugar
- 3 pcs Green onion cut into three inch
- 1/2lbs Fish cake
Sushi
- 10 pcs nori sheets
- 4pcs Zucchini, strips
- 4pcs crab meat
Procedure:
- Boil the dried kelp for 15 minutes then remove.
- While dried kelp is boiling combine hot pepper paste, hot pepper flakes, and sugar.
- Put mixture into the sauce pan after the kelp has been removed.
- Put in the rice cake and green onions. Cook until thickened.
- Place a sheet of nori on the rolling mat. Put a generous amount of toppoki and then roll.
Note:
*For regular sushi, put the zucchini, and crab meat on the rice instead of the toppoki then roll.
